Over 6 months, the volunteers at Soul Cafe in Newcastle Australia will provide 22,950 meals, 3,236 hampers and 768 occasions of professional service to the most vulnerable people. There will be thousands of conversations over a cup of coffee, building community, providing a family for vulnerable people. Kerry was one of those vulnerable people when she was in the hospital a few blocks away dealing with her mental health challenges.
We’re helping to raise AUD$175,000
to keep Soul Cafe open
by participating in their Sleepout Fundraiser.
It’s this Friday night!!!
We’ve seen first hand the positive impact that Soul Cafe makes in the local community of Newcastle, Australia. We’ll be participating virtually from our boat in Croatia – anchoring overnight – hopefully on the island of Zečevo (depending on the weather). At the moment the winds are blowing 25 – 35 knots. Donate here and send us a message to let us know.
The Virtual Sleepout will begin at 6pm and be hosted by Nick, Jess & Ducko from the radio station Hit 106.9. The Virtual Sleepout will be live on Soul’s Facebook page.
Please get behind this practical and worthwhile community service. If Jesus was still walking the earth in human form, we are sure these are the people He would be serving.
